Community Life in Googong

Welcome to the heart of our community

Googong is more than a place—it’s people, passion and purpose. Whether you’re looking to join a sporting club, start a local hobby group, volunteer your time, or simply meet neighbours, this page brings together the best ways to get involved and feel connected.

Local Clubs & Social Groups

Googong offers a rich mix of community-based groups for everyone: from parents and seniors, to sports players and hobby enthusiasts. Some examples include:

  • Googong Hogs (AFL & Netball) playing at Rockley Oval.

  • Local craft and parent-groups, organised via the community centre or via Facebook groups.

  • Specialist groups (for example, life skill programs at Catalyst Living Skills in Googong).

If you run or know of a local group that isn’t listed, head to Add Your Group at the bottom of this page – it’s free and supports more people in joining.

Volunteering & Giving Back

Facilities & Gatherings
